As swimmers, we understand the needs of the wild / open water swimmer and wanted to give you a suit where safety and comfort were at the top of the list. The Spook enables you to stand out in a crowd and in rough wild landscapes so you can be easily spotted. No other suit in this class will give you such amazing flexibility allowing you to swim the way you want to without getting aching arms and shoulders.
Hugely practical the Spook can also be used for surfing, paddle boarding and kayaking, etc
We have even added our new high tech 59:59 neoprene to key panels to give you the flexibility and strength our suits are now famous for.
Key Features
4 way stretch ,flexible and durable neoprene.
Yonda’s exclusive NEW exclusive 0.5mm high tech neoprene is as flexible as Yamamoto 40 cell, but is also very strong and durable thanks to its unrivalled high tensile properties. It is the most innovative neoprene available today making the Ghost II the toughest of competitors.
To increase hip rotation flexibility even further Yonda has introduced the Y-Stretch side panel™ (using state of the art 59:59™). This unique feature panel allows you to reach and stretch without any force pulling against you. This prevents shoulder and arm fatigue and reduces heart rate therefore making this the most efficient suit on the market in its class.
YONDA use a ‘10k collar’ on the neck, this new single layer collar has been tested by many long-distance swimmers without causing irritation. This soft supple fabric fits snugly around the neck giving a good seal and prevents water ingress to the suit. The tightness can be adjusted easily to personal preference with the simple Velcro tab.
For ease of doing the zipper up on your own without having to ask someone we have added standard YKK standard zippers (ie pull up to zip up , pull down to unzip)
Historically a lot of wetsuits seams split on the hip of the suit. YONDA has developed a diagonal seam, which differs from the conventional horizontal seams. The Y shape is a lot tougher as it is pulled in three directions and off loads the stress in the critical areas of the suit.
Tailoring your wetsuit leg is becoming quite common. Some individuals like to take up to 5 inches off the suit legs to free their ankles up and allow for a leg kick that is just below the surface of the water. You will notice 3 lines on the inside of the leg of every YONDA suit which can be used as a guide to tailor your suit without damaging the stitching.
To increase hip rotation flexibility even further Yonda has introduced the new VFF system TM. This new panel (now using 59:59™ ) gives the wearer even more efficiency and enables maximum arm reach and stretch without any force pulling against you. This prevents arm fatigue and reduces heart rate therefore making this the most efficient suit on the market.
